Empowering Healthy Choices Together
United Way is proud to support the work of Life Choices of Central Michigan through a matching grant. This year, generous supporters contributed $29,150, and United Way matched the first $15,000, resulting in a successful $44,150 matching grant! These funds help ensure that Life Choices can continue offering essential services to the community, empowering individuals and families to make healthy and informed choices.
Life Choices of Central Michigan (Life Choices) is a non-profit organization located in Mt. Pleasant, dedicated to providing free, compassionate services to individuals and families. Their mission centers on protecting life, sharing truth, and promoting holistic well-being for the mind, body, and spirit.
Medical Clinic
The Life Choices Medical Clinic provides vital services, including pregnancy testing, options counseling, STD screening, and limited STD treatment—all available free of charge. These services are administered by professional medical staff and guided by a commitment to confidentiality and care.
Parenting Programs
Through the Empower Life Parenting Programs, Life Choices supports anyone caring for a child three or younger. Caregivers can build their parenting skills while earning practical resources through the on-site Baby Boutique, which offers baby items like clothing, linens, and equipment. Life Choices also offers “Drive Thru Diapers,” a once per month opportunity for anyone caring for a little one in diapers to receive diapers, wipes, and limited formula.
Sexual Health Education
Life Choices also empowers youth through the SHARE program, designed to equip students with the knowledge to make informed decisions about their sexual health. The program covers topics such as the biology of pregnancy, STDs, emotional consequences, and the importance of setting healthy boundaries and recognizing unhealthy relationships.
