Uniting for Regional Resilience at the Dow Championship

United Way of Greater Central Michigan Teams Up with the 2025 Dow Championship to Strengthen Local Communities

United Way of Greater Central Michigan was honored to be selected as one of 36 regional nonprofit organizations participating in the 2025 Dow Championship #TeamUp for the GLBR Charity Giveback program. As part of this year’s Charity Giveback, United Way of Greater Central Michigan was paired with LPGA teammates Nataliya Guseva and Gigi Stoll.

This initiative, hosted in partnership with the LPGA and Dow, goes beyond the fairways—raising awareness of critical local causes and providing financial support to organizations committed to building a stronger, more resilient Great Lakes Bay Region.

“We’re proud to #TeamUp once again through the GLBR Charity Giveback program. This unique opportunity not only raises awareness of the work we do across the region, but it strengthens our capacity to serve. From supporting early childhood education to helping ALICE families meet basic needs, this support bolsters our efforts to build more resilient, thriving communities where everyone has the chance to reach their full potential,” says Annie Sanders, President & CEO of United Way of Greater Central Michigan.

Community Impact

The Dow Championship is committed to donating to charities across the Great Lakes Bay Region and has awarded more than $2.5 million to local nonprofits since its inception in 2019. Partnering with over 250 local companies and suppliers, the tournament has brought over $25 million in economic impact to the Great Lakes Bay Region. Beyond the competition, the event features various activities to engage the community, including the Eat Great Trail, an onsite STEM Center for kids and families, and a youth golf clinic.

At United Way, we believe in the power of coming together. Whether it’s helping a child thrive in school, supporting a family facing housing insecurity, or ensuring older adults stay connected and cared for—your support makes it possible.

We’re proud to partner with the Dow Championship to keep that impact going strong, on and off the course. Together, we’re building a stronger community.
