TEAM CROMER

JOSH & MARLEEN CROMER

Josh and Marleen met in kindergarten at Bentley Schools in Burton, Michigan, when they were just five years old. They were best friends through high school and married after Josh served four years in the U.S. Army. They lived in Jackson before moving to Alma, where they have been for the past 11 years. Josh has worked for Consumers Energy for 25 years and is an electric meter operations supervisor—so if there’s a storm causing outages, you can be sure he’s out in the field. Marleen has been a domestic engineer for 24 years—what many would call a “stay-at-home mom.” During the first seven years of their marriage, before having children, she ran an in-home daycare. Both Josh and Marleen are deeply involved in Scouting America. Josh serves as District Commissioner for the Heartland District in the Michigan Crossroads Council, while Marleen is the Scoutmaster for Troop 611, with Josh assisting. They have two teenagers, Liberty and Bentley, who keep them busy—and both are scouts who have achieved or are on track to become Eagle Scouts!
