TEAM Bartholomew & Vivian

Al Bartholomew

Making his way via Reed City and Vestaburg, Al has lived most of his adult life in Alma. Though he may claim to be retired from his careers in building and grounds maintenance and as a church organist, he is far from retired. Al has a deep love for music, playing the tuba, accordion, and, with a lifelong passion, the piano and organ. His musical pursuits include performing in the pit orchestra for the Gratiot County Players and accompanying the Alma Public Schools middle and high school choirs and bands for their concerts and festivals. He stays active by walking five miles every day and enjoys a koi fish pond in his backyard.

Tina Vivian

Tina lived in Holt, Michigan as a youngster then moved to Big Rapids where she lived for many years and graduated from high school. Eventually she moved to Alma where she has lived the last 35 years with her husband, Bob. Tina retired from Alma College as the costume designer for theatre and dance and now volunteers at the Alma Community Art Center. She has a love for painting and spends many days along the waterways of Michigan as a plein air artist. Not really a dancer, her dance partner Al encouraged her to do a disco dance with him at a Gratiot County Players Gala and by the end, she was sailing around the floor!
